About Us

Training

Gordon Williams our Training officer has been with the organisation since January 2003. He has achieved his Professional Trainer Certificate (Credit) C.I.E.H and is a Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certified Senior Instructor. Gordon has also achieved a number of Trainer and Assessor courses so he can provide the mandatory training to all staff in house.

Our in house training suite is based at our offices in Kinmel Street, Rhyl. There are two large training rooms which have all the necessary training equipment required to provide in-house training. Our training and development programme has been operational since October 2007. ProCare Wales Ltd offers mandatory training that conforms to national requirements set out by Social Care Wales. ProCare has implemented the All Wales Induction Framework for Health & Social Care

ProCare Wales has a commitment to support and develop staff competencies. Staff are given the opportunity to reach their full potential and will have the necessary skills to meet the needs of the Individual who they support. Training includes Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, (CPI MAPA) which provides staff with real life examples of challenging situations which may result in holding techniques being applied to ensure the safety and well-being of both Individuals and staff. When holding techniques are required a physical intervention risk assessment is always in place.

During employment with ProCare Wales staff are encouraged to progress within the company. We are a great believer of promoting within and all staff are given the opportunity to apply for managerial positions advertised internally or externally. All interviews take account of the applicants training and experience. If staff are promoted without having received the appropriate training, the training will be provided at the earliest opportunity.
