Aims & Objectives
ProCare Wales Ltd provides support services to individuals in partnership with their families/carers and friends. The aim of ProCare support services is to promote independence, health and well being, and to provide effective support to enable individuals to lead fulfilled lives as members of their communities.
Our purpose is to ensure that Individuals enjoy the independence of living in their own homes, with the reassurance that we can provide the support they need, when they need it.
Services Aims
- To prevent challenging behaviour occurring. (Primary prevention)
- To reduce levels of challenging behaviour. (Secondary prevention)
- To reduce the impact of challenging behaviour when it occurs.
- To assess behaviour and intervene using a variety of frameworks e.g. social, behavioural, biomedical and developmental.
- To increase understanding of challenging behaviour.
- To help staff and others adopt consistent approaches to managing challenging behaviour.
- To improve the quality of life of people who present with challenging behaviour, irrespective of the level of such challenges.
- To support Individuals who present with challenging behaviour to continue to live in local community settings.
- To provide training to staff supporting people who may behave in challenging ways.
Service Objectives
- ProCare Wales will ensure that each Individual is treated as a full and valued member of their community, with the same rights as anyone else, and with respect for their culture, ethnic origin and religion.
- ProCare Wales provides a service that is individually tailored, flexible and responsive to changes in individual circumstances. The service will be delivered in the most appropriate locality.
- Support is provided by appropriately trained, qualified and experienced staff who will support Individuals to develop fully in all aspects of their lives.
- ProCare Wales strives to continually improve, using the latest research to provide best treatment, care and support.
- ProCare provide excellent quality support for Individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and/or complex needs, (autism, challenging behaviour, etc).
- ProCare promotes the welfare and well-being of all individuals.
- ProCare promotes the independence of all individuals.
- ProCare treats all individuals with dignity and respects their right to a private life.
- ProCare enables Individuals to enjoy the same opportunities as all other members of society.
